I've clocked it! Now I can blog from anywhere
Sunday 29th August 2004 10:16:03 AMAfter some hard surfing on the internet I finally found a way to blog from my Nokia 6100 mobile phone, meaning I can post from anywhere with reception. I bet you're wondering how it's all done eh? Well I'll tell you. Well those who use blogger will know that you can blog by simply sending an email to blogger.com">user.password
blogger.com so all I had to do was send an email through wap. As you can find from a previous post this didn't work out. I found www.mymail.ro which allowed me to email, the only problem being it added a signature to the end in return for providing a free service. I didn't like this so I searched some more. Came across Wap Mail Ucd which is absolutely wicked as it's free and they dont add a signature. You only need a POP account. I'm using it now!
Update 30/8/04:
As cool as this is there are a few drawbacks, namely
- Only 839 characters can be entered, I think this may be down to Nokia and the way they have programmed the phone.
- Line breaks and paragraphs cannot be entered, maybe they can if I use HTML tags but this reduces the amount of characters available

you can always add #end at the end ...the blog dosent add (anything) signatures after that...hope it helps :)
