Pakistan Independence Day

Believe it or not guys I didn't know Pakistan had an independence day until only a few days ago. Most of you will be deeply shocked of my limited Pakistan knowledge, but hey that's the way it is. I only found out while browsing a few regular blogs the past week.

I think this is because I have never really cared about what happens in my parents homeland because I have always thought of it as behind the ages and backward, I am pleased to say I have heard from a few people that it really is changing. Also as you may have heard in the news recently that us "Brit Paks" are divided between two cultures, this is something I knew about ages ago and at times I don't give a sh*t about either.

Anyway this post is about Pakistan and how great it is. I was there twice last year after a decade, once in April for two weeks and then again in December for 3 weeks (sister's wedding - totally hectic!). Here are a few pictures I took when I was there in December, hope they give you a real feel of the country.

One place I forgot to take the camera to was Food Street in Lahore which was totally ace (can't get food like that anywhere in the UK). For me that is what Pakistan is all about, FOOD!

To all those in Pakistan and who are somehow linked to it, have a good one wherever you are and whatever you do.

Your picture rendering code is neat and clean for most browsers and UAs which is fabulous. However, the image verification is rather too difficult hehe
