Pissed off

Ever since July when I bought my car I've been rushed off my feet with errands, which usually consist of other people's errands. Like today for example, had a day off Uni so was sleeping in and at 11:30 I get a piercing call from Boba reminding me of her 12:20 dentist appointment and to pick her up from college.

So jump out of bed, quickly get myself sorted, grab this thing (some dentist tool which Boba needs which I will refer to as bobathing) and drive to her college without having any brekkie. When I get there half asleep I get told that I've got the wrong bobathing, and that the actual thing was on the window-sill (and not the table).

This means we've got to go back home and then to the dentist. It's a long drive there and the traffic doesn't help. Luckily the dentist agrees to see her despite us being 5 minutes late. About 45 minutes later we're done so I drop her off at college, and when I get home it's quarter to 2. Make myself some brekkie and after I've ate I'm thinking "I really dont need this kinda hassle".

This is only one example of how my time gets taken away. It's like everyone knows when I'm free (which is not often) and they schedule their tasks around that. This was one of the reasons I decided to get back to work because when I was home everyone was like, do this, do that, go to the shops for us, drop this person off, etc. Shit I don't need. Atleast when I get back home from work I can be in a grumpy mood and get away with it.

Same with Uni, if I get back home early or if it's my day off it's always pick the kids up. What am I the guy who picks the kids up? I feel like a buddha doing that!

You might be thinking it's not much, but every little gets to ya. It's like everyone gets to override my plans (which usually consists of relaxing).

As a possible solution I did something a bit drastic today; cancelled my car insurance! Let's see how the household reacts to that. I would sell the car which is worth about £1500 but I can't even do that, cos the rents need it. Should get about £7-800 back from the car insurance company so I'm happy with that.

Hoping I can relax now.
